Powder Power

Has oil dropped on your fabulous outfit?

I know it can be so annoying.   My best remedy is applying powder onto oil stain.

Steps:

Take powder, sprinkle on top of oil stain and press.

You will see powder start to cake.

Wait a couple of minutes and then scrap off.
This will instantly absorb oil.

***Works best if this can be done immediately.

What's your GUILTLE$$ Beauty Secret?
Olive oil for the hair! Every night I go into my kitchen cabinet and pull out my bottle of extra virgin olive oil from Trader Joe's. I pour a teaspoon amount into my hands and massage it into my hair and scalp. I often am asked by people how I'm able to keep my hair so shiny...   And they are amazed when I just say"olive oil" which only costs $5.99 and lasts me a looong time!

Trader Joes $5.99
GUILTLE$$ Beauty Note- Geri your hair looks great.  Thanks for sharing.  You are a true beauty!

Mirror Mirror On the Wall...

Revlon Magnifeye 10x Tweezing Mirror with Bonus Slant Tip Tweezer

I think one of the best beauty inventions is a mini magnify mirror.  I have one in my make up bag and love using to pluck my eyebrows.  Its amazing what the you can see especially when you walk over to use the light from the window.  This mirror can tells ALOT of secrets especially when your in between waxings.

My pick is made by Revlon and its only $4.99!  Definitely worth it especially for those stubborn hairs that are hard to see.

Lash Out!

Psst...Giftcard works just as good.

What a nice problem to have... Your lashes are so long that when you apply mascara it hits your eyelids.  Leaving mascara spots where you don't want them.

A great trick is to use an old gift card as a mascara guard .  You use right behind lashes when you apply. Eyelids stay clear of mascara. Works every time! Another alternative is using the mascara guard shown which can cost up to $15.  I think I'll go with the gift card!  Use the money you will save on good mascara :).

Maskerade

When I was in high school I loved creating homemade masks.  So many different masks can be created just from opening your cabinets.  Who knew that I was already starting a good habits.

Masks should be used as a treatment once a week and cost pennies to make.  We all like to treat ourselves right?
Below are a few simple masks you can create at home:
Oily skin
Use some plain Milk of Magnesia, rub it on and let dry, then rinse with lukewarm water. Its an amazing oil absorber!  Who says its only for upset stomachs anyway?
Dry skin
Mix two egg yolks, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and one teaspoon of lemon. Spread mixture on a clean face, rinse off after ten minutes.
Normal Skin
Use warm cloth to open pores, smear on honey, leave on 15 to 30 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and then use cold water to close pores.
